Capturing the Riviera: Andrea Serio’s Promenade Le Corbusier

We’re excited to announce the release of Promenade Le Corbusier, a stunning new art print from Dark City Gallery, beautifully screenprinted at our studio here at White Duck Editions. This 12-color screenprint is the latest in a series of visually captivating works from Italian artist Andrea Serio (@andreaserio73), known for his masterful use of oil and wax pastels, as well as colored pencils. His work often gravitates toward the natural world, exploring the interplay of light, shadow, and human presence within these serene landscapes.

Promenade Le Corbusier is a perfect representation of Serio’s style. The figures, often solitary and still, invite us to pause and reflect, much like they appear to be doing in their surroundings. This quality, unique to Serio’s work, makes the viewer feel almost compelled to take a moment, breathe, and simply absorb the beauty and calm that radiates from the scene.

The print’s palette, reminiscent of the long, sun-drenched days of summer, feels especially timely as a late-season release. The soft pastel tones and light-filled composition transport us directly to the French Riviera, evoking the warmth and tranquility that define this iconic location. It’s hard not to imagine a gentle sea breeze and the peaceful hush of coastal life when looking at this piece.

As always, it’s a pleasure to work with Dark City Gallery on this release, bringing Andrea Serio’s vision to life through the craftsmanship of screenprinting.
